Технический писатель/Technical Writer (Middle)

• Develop documentation in English (texts, diagrams) for application developers.
• Document classes of the 3D engine library (with developers’ assistance).
• Create guides and tutorials, including video tutorials.

Technical writer is a professional having a set of unique abilities that allow:

• tackling totally unfamiliar subjects,
• communicating with programmers to find out technical details,
• organizing tons of gathered information into perfectly structured texts,
• describing intricate topics in clearly understandable English.

This job quickly levels up such important skills as:

• Technical outlook
• Operational thinking

Universities don’t offer such discipline, that’s why technical writers are commonly graduates in IT with a good command of English.

Requirements:

• Excellent English writing skills (IT-related subjects)
• Good ability to explain complicated matters in a clear, logical, and concise manner
• Experience in development of instructions, user guides, API reference documentation, release notes (portfolio is required)
• Knowledge of programming basics in theory (C++ / C# / Python / Other)
• Basic knowledge of XML markup
• Basic experience of using Version Control Systems (Git, SVN)
• Ability to digest large amounts of new information quickly
